Garrett Choral Society Christmas Concert

This performance will be held on Sunday, December 23^rd at 3pm in the Offutt Theatre at Garrett College’s Performing Arts Center.  The choir’s directors are Debi and Dr. Sean Beachy, who have been leading the group for 7 years.  The singers have been rehearsing since September to prepare a variety of familiar carols as well as some newer Christmas music.
Selections include the evocative “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” & “Carol of the Bells”, standards such as “Angels We Have Heard on High” & “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”, along with the fun-filled “Sleigh Ride” & “Dashing Through the Snow.” 
The majestic “Gloria!” by Tristino Ali will become a new favorite of both singers & listeners.  Eric Whitaker’s stunning “Lux Aurumque” captures the sound of angels singing to the newborn baby.  With both rousing and soothing pieces, this program will appeal to all.
