Self Guided Fall Foliage Heritage Driving Tour- Southern Garrett County
Tour Highlights: Fort Alice Walking Trail LLC, Historic Mountain Lake Park (Ticket Office), Maryland Scenic Byways
Drive 33 mi, 1 hour, 4 minutes
The tour begins at the Garrett County Visitors Center located at 15 Visitors Center Drive in McHenry, MD and continues left onto US 219 (Garrett Highway). Turn left onto Sang Run Rd and then left onto Hoyes Run Rd. Turn left onto Oakland Sang Run Rd and continue onto N Bradley Ln. Turn right onto Liberty St and then back to N Bradley Ln. Continue onto W Center St, bearing left. Turn right onto S 3rd St. Continue on Rt. 219 to E Oak St and turn left. Continue straight onto MD-135 E and then turn right onto G St. Head north on G St toward MD-135 W and take slight right onto Deer Park Ave. Turn right onto Pittsburgh Ave and turn left toward Broadford Lake Park. Turn left at Recreation Ln and then right onto Pittsburgh Ave. Turn right onto Broadford Rd/Deer Park Ave. Continue to follow Broadford Rd. Turn left onto Kings Run Rd and continue, turning right onto US-219 N. Turn left onto Foster Rd. Turn right onto Bray School Rd. Take a slight left onto Lake Shore Dr and then turn left onto US-219 N. Turn left onto Visitors Center Drive returning to the Garrett County Visitors Center.

The tour begins at the Garrett County Visitors Center located at 15 Visitors Center Drive in McHenry, MD and continues left onto US 219 (Garrett Highway. Merge onto I-68 E and take exit 19 for MD-495. Turn left onto MD-495 N and then right onto Main St/National Pike. Continue on US-40 ALT and turn right onto Avilton Lonaconing Rd. Turn left onto Frostburg Rd and then turn left toward Mt Aetna Rd. Head back to east on Mt Aetna Rd and to Avilton Lonaconing Rd. Turn left onto Blue Lick and then left onto Lower New Germany Rd. Turn right onto Twin Churches Rd and then left onto New Germany Rd. Turn left onto MD-495 S and then turn right onto US-219 N. Turn left onto Visitors Center Drive returning to the Garrett County Visitors Center.
