Volunteer Opportunities
-
Many of our heritage areas and events are managed and ran by non-profits. It is our volunteers that keep these areas open and running. From museums, trails, and historic sites to area events and programs held within the heritage area, it is our volunteers that make these events and local attractions able to be enjoyed by many. Whether you are a retiree looking for a way to get out into the community and contribute to your neighborhood or you are passionate about a certain heritage area or event or you simply love history, all of them need your help! Some heritage sites like museums are not able to open their doors and share the stories within without volunteers to run the facilities, greet the guests, or even help set up, clean and maintain the facility. Volunteers are also needed at various local heritage events within the county. Many of these events play a vital role in the economy of our county, by bringing in visitors and introducing them to our area and all this region has to offer. Whether you can commit a day or two or more, we would love to have your help! Contact amber@garrettchamber.com for more details.
